Peel Appeal: What is the difference between AHAs and Salicylic Acid?

There are several types of AHAs, but you’ll mostly find either glycolic or lactic acids in skincare products. These are best for improving skin texture and boosting glow, while salicylic acid peels are ideal for acne-prone and mature skin types. Our Glycolic Solution contains 10% glycolic acid, known for its brightening, resurfacing and age-fighting benefits. For best results, offer this to your clients in a series of 6 treatments. Our most aggressive exfoliating solution is made with 20% salicylic acid and 4.4% lactic acid. This combination of alpha and beta hydroxy acids dissolves the keratinized outer layer of skin, removing dead cells and reveals the fresh skin just below the surface. Not only does it help the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it instantly brightens the appearance of dark spots and acne scarring.
